Of course, I have already got request to add pictures and I just started blogging yesterday. Here are a few of the newest pictures of Tilynne. She had her 18 month checkup on this last Tuesday. She is growing so fast she now weighs 25 pounds and is 31 inch tall. We of course had to discuss her asthma at the appointment since she had to go to the doctor the week before due to an attack. I was surprised the doctor actually used the term asthma. This is major step considering the word is like taboo for anyone under the age of 5. For those of you who do not know the history here is some background. Tilynne has been dealing with respiratory issues since she was about 3 months old. She was in the hospital for a week when she was six months, and had to be on steroid drugs to help make her lungs stronger to fight all the upper respiratory infections she continued having. Since then she has been on a nebulizer receiving drugs on a daily basis. So back to today I was really scared last week when she had her attack and started thinking about what would have happened if she weren't at home to get the nebulizer, what if she was at the babysitter, what if we were in the car on the way to Burlington, or what if we were on the plane headed to Florida. I discussed what we could do in emergency situations that I could not get to the nebulizer. She is now able to use an inhaler with a spacer and a cute duck mask, and that can be easily kept in her diaper bag for easy access.
