Dinner.......

So I have not been the best role model when it comes to eating dinner as a family. We usually have dinner around 7 or 7:30 everynight around the television, and I know this is not a good habit to get Tilynne into. So lately I have been coming home and fixing dinner so we are eating more around 6:00 and also sitting at the table in the dining room. I have always said grace before eating but normally I use it as time for me to speak privately with god and say it to myself. Recently I have started saying it out loud to try and get Tilynne to pick up some of the words. Well this week she picked up a word "AMEN". It is so cute hearing her say it after I finish saying grace. She is also starting to pick up more on people's names. In recent days she now can say "NoNo" for Nola and she is beginning to get out "ARA" for Kara. I know her aunts will be so excited to hear her use those words when they come home for the holidays.

New words......

In church today Tilynne came up with some new phrases. During service Tilynne was trying to get from me to my Aunt Theresa. She got down and had to pass by her other aunts to get over to the other side, and while she was passing each one she said "excuse me". It was the cutest little thing. The funniest thing that happened was during the sermon. Minister Vahle was preaching and Tilynne was going back and forth across the aisles and all of a sudden she stopped in the middle like she was listening and then she did it. She raised her hand and started waving her little hand in the air and continued doing so while she listened. I'm not for sure if anyone else heard but I also swear I heard her say "preach". You could just hear all the people in the church giggle a little since she was front and center and everyone saw her. She actually does the waving of her hand alot during sermons, listening to gospel in the car, or watching a gospel show on television. My family actually has a saying about that "that little girl has been hear before" because she has the spirit of someone so much older than 1 year.

Of course, I have already got request to add pictures and I just started blogging yesterday. Here are a few of the newest pictures of Tilynne. She had her 18 month checkup on this last Tuesday. She is growing so fast she now weighs 25 pounds and is 31 inch tall. We of course had to discuss her asthma at the appointment since she had to go to the doctor the week before due to an attack. I was surprised the doctor actually used the term asthma. This is major step considering the word is like taboo for anyone under the age of 5. For those of you who do not know the history here is some background. Tilynne has been dealing with respiratory issues since she was about 3 months old. She was in the hospital for a week when she was six months, and had to be on steroid drugs to help make her lungs stronger to fight all the upper respiratory infections she continued having. Since then she has been on a nebulizer receiving drugs on a daily basis. So back to today I was really scared last week when she had her attack and started thinking about what would have happened if she weren't at home to get the nebulizer, what if she was at the babysitter, what if we were in the car on the way to Burlington, or what if we were on the plane headed to Florida. I discussed what we could do in emergency situations that I could not get to the nebulizer. She is now able to use an inhaler with a spacer and a cute duck mask, and that can be easily kept in her diaper bag for easy access.

Beginning.......

So I have finally succumbed to my sister's pressures and started a blog spot to record the everyday events of Tilynne. For some reason they want to know her every move, word, new tooth, new expression, etc. For those that I have really not got to tell the background of Tilynne hear is a little bit since the blog is about her. She was born April 30, 2007 at "6:19" pm, the cool thing is she weighed "6" pounds and was "19" inches long. Her full name is Tilynne Nora Ann Cartmill after my sisters and me. She gets Tilynne from Tiffany Lynn, Nora is a combination of Nola and Kara, and Ann comes from my sister Patrice Ann Marie. Let's start with today which was actually a pretty good day. The cutest thing actually happened the night before. She was lying in her bed watching The Little Mermaid for what could be the 2346 time and all of a sudden she got out of bed. I at first was like oh no she's gonna want to sleep with me, so I immediately said "Tilynne get back in bed." She was actually just getting up to get her book. It was like she noticed I was in bed reading and she wanted to do the same. She got her book and climbed back into bed. Then she started to turn the pages in her book and every once in a while she would look over the top and laugh at a part in the movie. So some people might think this is stupid but I thought it was so cute. I also want this space to be a place for me to display the numerous pictures my family would like on a daily basis.
